Hydrosat's mission is to provide customers from agribusinesses to the government real-time thermal infrared data. The company raised $20 million led by Statkraft Ventures to put the first two satellites into orbit. [Forward]
Orbital Outpost X, a Silicon Valley space technology startup formerly called Space Villages, received a $5 million convertible note from Space Infrastructures Ventures of the Netherlands. [Forward]
The VAST space station concept by Jed McCaleb, a software developer and co-creator of the Mt. Gox Bitcoin exchange, aims to create a modular habitat with artificial gravity that is in orbit as soon as August 2025. [Forward]

SpaceX founder Elon Musk says the vehicle's flight slightly exceeded his expectations and damage to the launch site was not extensive. He expects Starship to fly again in two or three months. [Forward]
Rocket Lab’s Electron vehicle will serve as a testbed for hypersonic technologies with a modified kick stage allowing it to deploy payloads up to 600kg into hypersonic trajectories five times greater than the speed of sound. [Forward]
