Starliner launch attempt scrubbed

Boeing's Starliner Crew Flight Test set for June 1 was scrubbed 3 minutes and 50 seconds before the scheduled 12:25 p.m. Eastern launch. A statement from NASA blamed a “computer ground launch sequencer not loading into the correct operational configuration after proceeding into terminal count.” Starliner backup launch opportunities are on June 2, 5 and 6.

Rare 'exo-Venus' with Earth-like temperature discovered

Astronomers discovered Gliese 12 b, a potentially-habitable Venus-sized planet 40 light-years away with an estimated surface temperature of 42°C (107°F), assuming it has no atmosphere. Gliese 12 b represents one of the best candidates for studying the habitability of Earth-size planets orbiting cool stars in our galaxy.
